Does that mean: Lawyers can no longer dot their i's and will only be able to cross their t's? Question marks will be written more quickly in the future? A business web page will now just be a com? Movie theatres can no longer carry that kind of candy? Dorothy's can no longer have their names shorted to Dot? Semi-colons will become commas? iDiOT will become i i? Bullets preceding items in a list can no longer have the dot shape? Most smilies will look very, very weird? Colons will just disappear?

I'm scared to go to sleep today...what if I dream about dots?

Hold on, just wait a minute folks. Let's think about this for just a minute. What if YOU were one of these poor innocent dots?

Just doing what you were told to do, way off to the side of everything else. Nobody looking at you, nobody really caring, but you still have a duty to perform. And, of course, you perform that duty completely, without worrying about resources or consequences.

Then, the next thing you know, somebody pushes some buttons. Electrons are shifted around, and sent up the river after your ass. Zzzztttt. Elimination. Just for doing what you were told to do. No excuses, no reprieve.
