We had a wonderful day. Thanks to all of you. Went to church and had our wedding vows renewed there. Gave my wife a new set of rings as the originals had become too small and a setting was missing from one. So ... she got new ones a little bigger than the original.
Then, our oldest daughter and her husband took us to lunch. Yesterday evening, we went to Peoria and had dinner with some 30 or 40 other couples. Had a great time.
It was a wonderful day and we both thank all of you for your good wishes. Wish you could have all been here.
Oh yeah ... Wednesday we're going to go over and spend time with our daughter and son-in-law in Indianapolis and then head down to Cincinnati to visit with our other daughter and son-in-law. Should be lots of fun and kind of extends our celebration for a few days.

Belated Congratulations to you and your lovely wife, dicksbro!!
I didn't realize our wedding anniversaries were so close....,......
Today is 31 yrs. for my hubby and me. We're waiting until sometime next month to do something special to celebrate. Finances just won't allow for an evening out right now. But we've spent the day together, and just being together is the main thing. And given the choice, I'd marry him all over again.
As much as I complain, I REALLY do love him!

Congrats to you also, SS! Being so close together on dates ... doesn't that just go to prove that ol' adage about "great minds?"
Seriously, I sure hope you have a wonderful day together.
Hugs from the two of us to the two of you!
(BTW ... tried to PM you but it said your mailbox was full )

Thank you so much for the kind wishes, dicksbro.........and yes, I agree about "great minds, etc."
And thanks, too, for the 'heads up' on my PM box. I've done some housekeeping and emptied it somewhat. :multi:
