Sir WWW

The inventor of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee, has been awarded a knighthood!

The British scientist, who lives in the US at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was told he was getting the Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

He created his hypertext protocol while he was at the particle physics institute, Cern, in Geneva. He then offered it royalty free. That’s were the "http" comes from in Pixies’ url.

We all owe him a BIG "Thank You"!
