We were eating dinner one night when we heard all kinds of sirens racing down the road. There had been an accident in which a car had struck...a wallaby.

In Connecticut.

When we saw it on the news, they interviewed the driver of the car who said "My daughter got out and looked at what we had hit and told me it was a kangaroo. I told her 'I can't call the police and tell them I ran over a kangaroo!!! They'll think I'm drunk!'"

Sadly, Willie was the pet of a man in the neighboring town. Apparently he was well known there because they used to go to town hall together. lol
