Then again, Italy has a long history of legal abuse of scientists. Galileo comes to mind. And of course, this is the same society that brought the people "justice" in the form of Benito Mussolini.

We, the Court, sentence you to six years jail so that the dumb plebs can have something to aim their anger at that's not us after something beyond anybody's control happened.

Wow. Just wow.

With the exception of Sophia Loran, the mafia and Galliano, Italy hasn't had anything to give the world in the last two millennia. Hard to believe that's the same people and place Rome once was. I wonder if that's how the USA will look after the metamorphous of 'America' is complete? :shrug:

I hope their prison cells are built to survive an earthquake.
