I'm sure there used to be a thread about it, but I couldn't track it down to resurrect it, so I'm starting a new one:

I've just admitted to fancying a less than appealing character from the Red Dwarf series, so I want to know:

Do you have a crush on someone you're ashamed of?

If so who?

What is it about them that's appealing to you and why would other people think you're mad for liking them?

In no particular order - Professor Simon Schama and Father Ted.

I've always liked older men - could never quite figure out the Father Ted one - he just did it for me - think it was the Irish accent lol *blush*

No so sure I'd call it embarrassing but I've had a couple of my friends think I'm a bit off for finding Chandra Wilson from Grey's Anatomy to be really, really sexy. I've seen her interviewed on a couple of shows and I just think she is great.

Oh, and Paula Deen from the Food Network. Just find her to be very sexy too and I'm sure a few people would find that odd.

Nicholas Cage. He *really* does it for me.

In Britain there was recently a survey done about this. On top of a lot of men's lists were beautiful women with (how shall I put it?) a more than ample frame, such as Colleen Nolan and Fern Britton.

Why is it men are embarrassed to admit to fancying bigger women? If it were more out in the open, so many women could breathe a sigh of relief and stop eating rice cakes. Seems it's quite acceptable to tell someone that you fancy someone who looks like they need a damn good meal, but fancying someone who looks like she's a damn good cook is a guilty secret.....

I'm not embarassed at all to admit that I find an "ample frame woman" more sexually attractive than a waif. I've made no secret that I adore a woman of physical as well as mental substance! Nothing gets my motor runnin like that!

Growing up I had a crush on Geddy Lee, the lead singer of Rush. I found a pic from that time period. He sorta looks like a young Bono. Maybe that was it? I have no clue.

People just don't get my attraction to Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury, Marilyn Manson and Eddie Van Halen. They totally get my attraction to Jon Bon Jovi though.

I'm NOT embarrassed at all when I proclaim my lust...er...appreciation for them. I just get a "domino effect" reaction as I go through the list. "Ew...Ewwww...Oh Ewwwwww...Aw come on, he's the Ewwwwwwiest...(but with Jon) Oh, now that's more like it!"

And I think they are all equally sexy in their own way. I'd do any one of them. Hell...I'd do them all at once!!!!

Well, I can't find a downloadable pic, but the one crush I have that other people don't seem to get is Alison Janney, "C J Cregg" on the West Wing...not that I find it embarrassing at all, but I have to admit, even I don't understand why I find her so hot...she's not what most people consider classic beauty, maybe that's what I like about her (I must have been a salmon in a past life, always swimming upstream)

I have a huuuuuuge crush on Maura Tierney - Abby from ER. Not embarrassing, but maybe unusual? It's not just how damn cute she is but just everything about her personality appeals on so many levels...

Mine would have to be Jeri Ryan from star trek voyager. She played 7 of 9 in this series. She look delicous in those full body cat suits that she use to wear. Oh thank you star trek for some great memories.
