Read about this in Comcast News, they said that the mark may well have already passed, & that the 300 millionth American may well have been someone crossing the border illegally...but that's a topic for another thread. What I found interesting was that the gov. is just gonna let this milestone pass without fanfare...back when we hit 200M (ca. 1967), LBJ had them announce it with a major press conference, complete with fantasies of how we could meet the challenges...as it turned out, they were also several months late in guesstimating when the odometer would click over...

don't worry, we've got a lot of domestic jobs and products that the world can't live without. cars, corn, wheat, tobacco, beef, computer products. plenty to 'round and something for everyone.
