I'm headed to the hospital in a few-the mammal I married was admitted for observation and IV antibiotics last night. Was up until 0300 this morning. Ug.

Well, just fuck the new year.

Got in to work yesterday, and there was an e-mail from my boss saying he was going to be out of the office most of the week, as his mother died suddenly on Monday.

Today is our monthly visit shut-ins from our church day. We'll visit two senior residences where we'll see quite several folks. These are always wonderful visits to some really great people whose health or age has kept them from attending regular services.

And today marks 30 years with the mammal I married.

What a long, strange trip it's been.

Especially for her.

Today's President's Day so I just slept-in instead of getting up during the night. Looks like it'll be rainy today, so I guess I didn't miss much. :shrug:

Woke up late again to day. I must be getting old. :)

There's a certain bit of household electronics that decides to beep annoyingly every couple of weeks. Wish I could get rid of it, but we kind of need it around here.
