OR....
Toby Keith's "A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action" I was getting kinda tired of her endless chatter Nothing I could say ever seemed to matter So I took a little drive just to clear my head I saw a flashing neon up ahead It looked like a place to find some satisfaction With a little less talk and a lot more action I paid the man at the door and pushed my way to the bar Shouted for a drink over a screaming guitar A drunk on a stool tried to mess with my head But I didn't even listen to a word he said I knew somewhere amid all this distraction Was a little less talk and a lot more action A little less talk if you please A lot more loving is what I need Let's get on down to the main attraction With a little less talk and a lot more action Well she was fighting them off at a corner table She had a longneck bottle she was peeling the label The look on her face it was perfectly clear She said somebody please get me out of here The look she shot me through the glass refraction Said a little less talk and a lot more action A little less talk if you please A lot more loving is what I need Let's get on down to the main attraction With a little less talk and a lot more action A little less talk A lot more loving Let's get on down to the main attraction With a little less talk and a lot more action Get on down to the main attraction With a little less talk and a lot more action |
i always did like that song!

Someone just HAS to sing "Strokin"
|
Gotta go along with Rabbit.
"Why don't we get drunk" is an un-official anthem. |
Wouldn't need to be drunk, & wouldn't need the karaoke or cue cards...I'd invoke Gerry Rafferty & Steeler's Wheel...
Well I don't know why I came here tonite I got the feelin that somethin ain't right I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair & I'm wonderin how I'll get down the stairs Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right (everybody now) Here I am, Stuck in the Middle with You |

Stroke it Texascubfan, but don't stroke so fast! and if my stuff aint tight enough you can stick it in my..... :bsex: i be strokin'! |
I'm jumpin in with musicman...gettin him really drunk...and singing Paradise By The Dashboard Lights with him. It just wouldn't sound right without a female "STOP RIGHT THERE...I GOTTA KNOW RIGHT NOW...BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, DO YA LOVE ME...WILL YOU LOVE ME FOREVER...DO YA NEED ME...WILL YOU NEVER LEAVE ME...WILL YOU MAKE ME SO HAPPY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE...WILL YOU TAKE ME AWAY, WILL YOU MAKE ME YOUR WIFE...DO YOU LOVE ME........
Then I'm over to Navarre to help with his choice. And I...had...the time of my life...no I never felt like this before...yes, I swear...it's the truth...and I...owe it all to you........ I love duets! |
Count me in!!!
I'd have to do an accapella version of one of my moms tunes called
"The Time Comes" (www.judymayhan.com) OR "Callin All Angels" by Train it's what I sang tonite at karaoke in Moss landing at the moss landing inn OR Another fave is an old billie holiday blues tune called "Aint Nobodys Business If I Do" sounds like an interesting evening lilith--~ bg1  |
Of course, I'd have to do the IAKG standards--Olivia Newton-John's, "I Honestly Love You," Sylvia's, "Nobody," and the DiVinyls' "I Touch Myself." If my sister would come, we'd do the Grease duets...or, if I'm in a "belting" kind of mood, I'd sing out "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" or "I'm Going to Make You Love Me." :)
|
My song of choice... Possum Kingdom. :)

and a damn good choice it is ;) I would do Bonnie Rait's , " I can't make you love me" or any thing by Sheryl Crow, probably, "Favorite Mistake" |
Y'all all keep taking my songs!
"Wind beneath my wings" or "endless love" if I was in a mushy mood If I was especially drunk it would be "You never call me by my name" |
Well, since we're in a bar and I'm getting a kickback from the bartender ...
"Ninety-Nine bottles of Beer on the Wall" :trout: Ouch, ouch, ouch. Okay, okay ... how about Hey, Little One (a song Glen Campbell did that I've always loved) |
