Thinking that life is fair is wishful thinking.

If wishes were horse than beggars would ride.........

Skip....Good idea for a thread.

BIBI your keys are in the last place you look. How many licks does it take to get to a toosie pop center?

IAKaraokeGirl 01-20-2003 07:55 PM

kleclere, is *that* where my keys always are?

It depends on the Tootsie Roll pop eater--me, I'm personally with Lilith: give me a blow pop--but I'm not patient enough on either one. I go right for the gusto. ;)

kleclere 01-20-2003 08:12 PM

Yes they are always in the last place you look.

Devillishgirl 01-20-2003 09:18 PM

Kleclere, in my house the rule on keys is that they are always where you left them last...so in my SO's case, he can't ever find them and needs me to remind him where he placed them when he came home...same goes for his wallet, his cell phone, his tape measure...etc etc etc

Do men marry just to have an extension of their mother?

IAKaraokeGirl 01-20-2003 09:23 PM

What's worse is that I have it at work, too. I've told both of my male bosses that I consider myself their den mother.

denny 01-20-2003 09:27 PM

Songbird, I'm looking for a good den mother. Wanta move to Cali?

IAKaraokeGirl 01-20-2003 09:34 PM

Denny, honey, I lived in Redlands for two years...you missed your shot at me. I do generally like your choice in music, though. :)

denny 01-20-2003 09:37 PM

Damn! Timing really is everything.

IAKaraokeGirl 01-20-2003 09:38 PM

Yes, yes it is. San Diego is *beautiful,* though, so I applaud your choice in locations. Too much smog and traffic where I was. :)

denny 01-20-2003 09:42 PM

Ya', I still miss Carolina but this is getting to be homee.

So to me the biggest question there is what is the difference between a want and a need?

Lixy - A wood chuck only upchucks as much wood as he chucks

German Steve - No one ever said life was fair, so just don't play by the rules, and cheer up mate, you have friends here.

Lilith - Take your voodoo elsewhere....geez :D

IAKG - Damn tootsie pop questions...ask the owl.

DG - No, not all men do, all men should live on their own before marrying.

and Denny and IAKG - you hijaked my thread...I love it :D

IAKaraokeGirl 01-21-2003 09:21 AM

STO, I can never find that owl when I need him. How can he be so wise if he's never around?

There are two ways to look at wants and needs. The first is to consider a need as a minimum. Sure, I want that brand new BMW, but I need a car, whatever kind I can afford, to shuffle me about. A need is something that you have to have to get by in your life, while a want is something you're dreaming about.

A second way to look at this is as a degree of desire. I might *want* to have sex with you, but if I *need* to have sex with you, watch out! I'll chase you around a room.

Of course, "you" in this instance was purely designed as a generic term. ;)

Just my $0.02.
