It's nice to see one quickly move along to the 'DONE' list and know you are ahead of the herd even with a late start. :thumb:

Too good to be true it seems. The asshole is pissing me off. His auction clearly stated he accepts PayPal and now despite it having already been sent, he says he does not accept it.

Is he holding out for more?

No. He is saying he does not accept PayPal and wants a check. I do not have time to mail a check to his location, wait for it to clear, and then wait for the item to arrive, hoping it's acceptable and as described. Is why I chose a seller who accepted PayPal.

PantyFanatic 09-02-2007 11:50 PM

Tell him AND eBay that. ;)

I think there is some kind of a 'warning/bitch board' on there too. Don't know any of the details of how to use it, but time is not available to go through 'procedure', you may want to open with both barrels.

(if you DO have to go the long way, a money order could cut out the clearing time)

I would agree with PF and go with a money order it only is a little more and no need to wait for a check to clear.

I would be worried about giving out a personal check. To many scams that can be run with them.

The problem is I need the flute in the mail Tuesday in order to have it on time. Which is why I paid for it 2 days ago.

Okay, i'm a bit of an ebay novice. Wouldn't the seller need to have paypal setup on the listing in order for you to have transferred payment already? If that's true how can the seller now deny accepting paypal? Sounds like a bad ebayer to me.

sodaklostsoul 09-03-2007 08:38 AM

Thanks for the thread Lilith, my girl wants to take flute in band next year.

Good Luck with the Ebay jerk!

Lilith 09-05-2007 07:41 PM

I emailed him and pointed out that his auction clearly says he accepts PayPal and I have not heard from him since. I've contacted eBay as to how to proceed.

sodaklostsoul 09-05-2007 10:15 PM

Hopefully he'll send you the flute!

And Ebay is responding with the lightening speed of molassass in February...

Lilith 09-06-2007 03:18 PM

Well I heard from eBay today. They wanted the email w/ headers that had him refusing to accept PayPal. I think I best go buy a new flute.

WildIrish 09-06-2007 04:03 PM

It sucks that you'll have to go get one after going through so much aggravation trying to ebay it, but at this point it's for the best. Now you don't have to worry about what kind of condition it will arrive in (if ever) and what that could entail.

Have you looked into music stores that may offer used instruments?

And if you're ever interested in taking up an instrument for yourself...I've got a flute right here you can use any time you like. ;)
