I've been in a few with women for salespeople, and a few with men. I DEFINATLY prefer the women. They are less creepy about it, and it helped that the establishments with women were usually kept nicer, with better product.

For my birthday my husband and I went to one in town and were surprised to see a woman and her grandmother there! :D I felt sorry for the older lady because she looked so overwhelmed. :o I didn't get a chance to say anything before they left but I was wondering who's idea it had been to go there. The older or the younger lady! I could imagine taking my dad (he's 81) but if I had a grandma I dunno?!:p

My wife had a bad experience when buying a dildo. She wanted to open the package because some are made with hard plastic or sticky rubber that stay sticky no matter how much you lube it. She has brought one or two home in the past that just woudn't work for her. Not that she wanted to test drive it or anything just check the material. She got yelled at and we havn't been back to that store. Maybe they should have samples displayed or a hole in the package to check the material it's made of.

Interesting, dude33. The local one (Peoria) always opens up "battery" devices to make sure they work before they ring them up ... just to be sure they work. No doubt, they'd let a person check the texture while they had it open. Sounds like a strange place you went to, dude33. :(
