Well I was wrong!
I was so convinced it was happening last night, I even called the labour ward, as when I was walking about I was having really quite strong contractions, but when I sat down they subsided and I slept through the night with virtually no interruption.
Was obviously just a trial run. :(

Eggplant Parmesan... lol - there is a resturant in the US somewhere that pregnant women go to eat their special... within a day they all went into labor!
I would suggest that you eat small and light actually.

Well there's been a development, but not necessarily a good one.
Just arrived back from the midwife's and my blood pressure is quite high and there is protein in my urine (sorry to be graphic folks) so they are a little bit worried I may be developing preeclampsia.
I've got to go to the hospital tomorrow where they'll have the results of my blood tests and based on that, they may decide to keep me in and induce me, depending on what they find. I can't decide whether I want them to keep me in and induce me (at least I won't be worrying about when it's going to happen and at what point to go to hospital etc) or whether I want to get the all clear (less complications is good, but will still be playing the waiting game with fear of developing it later still hanging over my head).
All in all the midwives (there happened to be two there today) and I feel it would be best just to go into labour naturally this evening, and have instructed us to have sex twice! In the meantime, I feel a little bit emotional and am not quite sure what to do with myself...I can't wait until Fussy comes home from work.

"The best laid plans of mice and men ...and expectant parents …" ;)
I think you have just confronted the FIRST coin tossing dilemma of real life parenthood. :) This is actually an easy one as only your condition, actions and reactions with the world are involved. ;) And this one is going to be resolved very soon, regardless. :) Not to worry though. You only have another quarter century of these things ahead of you now. :D
There are two good points to all this. First, you will become proportionally better adapt as the situations become more complex and by the time they leave to deal with these things in their own life, you will have learned you don't have any more absolute answers with guaranties than you have now, but you'll be more comfortable dealing with them and that they DO work out and become the milestones that our lives are built on. :)
The other point is that I hope you were able to divert your thoughts for just a few seconds, reading this. ;)

Well, apparently my liver function test was a bit dodgy. Everything else was fine yesterday BP and sample were normal, and baby is absolutely fine.
I'm going back to the hospital in the morning to get results of the blood tests they did yesterday and if my liver function is worse, they may well keep me in and induce me, or they may decide to monitor it on a daily basis, which will mean lots of trips to and from the hospital until baby makes his appearance.
So weirdly enough, I'm hoping that tomorrow's results are either poor enough for them to induce me, or good enough that they don't have to monitor me daily.
They also did an internal exam and attempted to 'stretch and sweep' my cervix. All I can say is 'OUCH' and, she didn't even buy me a drink first!

I've been getting texts to keep up on the Pucker news. Lou, sorry you are feeling stressed. It's not unusual for some of these things to happen but I know they are scary. Good thing your bp is doing better. Being induced can also be very hard on a body and baby so maybe things will happen in their own time. By the way, as worried as you are now, times that by 5 when they are out on their own moving about the world. Try to rest and watch mindless television or a few good comedies. (((((Lou))))

 I hate to be difficult, but wouldn't that be 12:39 am GMT on November 27?
You are EXACTLY right Maddy. :o
I made both, a mental calculation error as well as adding a number of assumptions.
One nice thing is that FussyPucker is AT Greenwich Mean Time (or Coordinated Universal Time), so we can take his announcement as the time and date posted, regardless of guess date locations for any contending entries. His post was at 13:24 EST for me,and should have been 18:24 for him. I was assuming that he did not use the two-times-a-day clock, and that 02:11 was the birth time.
Unless GMT or UTC was mentioned, I took the guess date to be the poster's local time. I think Georgia's longitude puts it 5 hours later than GMT, so TinglingTess's 7:39PM WOULD be 01:39 UTC the next day, just as you said.
That would make hers guess later than the event by 23 hours and 28 minutes. Aqua was 11 hours and 32 minutes later with his 26th at 13:43, so I guess he gets Lilith's panties. :(

Hi folks,
Mummy here - thanks for all the kind words on this thread.
Just to clarify the date and time of arrival, Fussy meant to put 2.11pm, that's 14.11 GMT on 26th November. Not sure whether that still makes Aqua the winner, but I'll let PF worry about that!
So far, everything is going well with Jr. He's as good as gold and seems to have read the same parenting manual that we did, so we're all quite content and not too exhausted. I've actually managed 7 hours sleep in the last 24, and yes I am breast feeding!
Anyway, I need to put him down for a nap now, so I'll be off.
As for photos, we've discussed it and due to the nature of this site and the fact that any ole' weirdo has access to the forums as well as the weirdos we know and love so well, we don't feel it would be appropriate to post a pic of him here. If we know you, and you'd like to see him, get in touch and we'll happily e-mail you, but I hope you'll understand and respect our decision. I know it's a little disappointing for those who have been following our progress but I'm sure those of you who are parents will understand. :)

I'm loving every minute of it IWM - sleep is not a problem as since we brough him home, he's only woken twice a night max and last night it was just once.
The main thing I'm finding is that it's very tiring during the day to make sure he's fed, washed, 'napped' at the right times and in the right order in order to make sure we get an evening to ourselves and a good night's sleep. By this time, I'm more shattered than if I'd been at work all day, but I suppose that will get easier when my body is less physically sore from the birth experience!
